Cope
Cope
Cope is about leaning into the good things. The large, off-white shape hangs over the canvas, both supporting the colourful elements, and providing the viewer a safe place to rest against the rigid sides of the largest and lightest element. However, as the eye passes moves across the canvas, it becomes easier to slide along as each colour occupies a smaller, darker area, until the difference between the last narrow step and the darkest space is difficult to distinguish.
You will receive one Hy Art print, of the size you request, of the work entitled "Cope". Larger prints will be shipped rolled.
With my Hy Art collection, I seek to collide virtual play with abstract imagery to create unique paintings that challenge what it means to paint, to play, and how art is collected. The paintings are done using the digital landscapes of "Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom" as both the source of inspiration, and the medium in which the paintings are created by using the camera function as the brush, and the frames from Link's house near Tarrey Town as the canvas. The repeated shapes, abstract forms, and bold colours push beyond painting, or even digital painting, into space where the virtual medium stands as the embodiment of the painting itself: the canvas and the gallery.
Some sizes may crop parts of the original to meet the size requested size, or feature wider white borders where necessary.
