The Electric Rainbow
Titanium can be anodized to a range of colours. Anodizing is the process of building an oxide layer on the surface of the metal using electrical currant or heat. The thickness of the oxide layer changes the way that light refracts and reflects off the surface of the metal. This changes the wavelength of the light, which we perceive as different colours. Because of the nature of this process, this guide is only a sample of each colour. The actual colours may vary slightly from piece to piece, and even from natural to artificial light.
